Happy Skincare – Vegan Beauty Products

I was recently sent a couple of products from the Happy Skincare Beauty range to test out and review (3 Cheers Cleansing Oil and Perfectly Happy Light Anti-Oxidant Cream).

Happy Skincare is a 100% natural, organic, vegan and cruelty-free (only tested on human hamsters) range of beauty products, established in 2010 and made here in Australia.

The business owners Aaron and Phoebe are passionate about natural products and mixing. They mix all the ingredients themselves!

Their products are recommended by medical professionals and they stand behind every product with a full satisfaction guarantee. They specialise in skin care for mature and sensitive skin, dry skin, acne and pimples, chemotherapy and radiation therapy patients, eczema, irritated skin, diabetics and people living with lymphoedema.

I was excited when I received my package, and couldn’t wait to try it out. Over the years I’ve started to become more conscious about the products that I use (and as an animal lover, “Cruelty Free” products have always been a strong draw card for me), add to that my growing interest in natural, organic and Vegan friendly beauty products, I’ve become more mindful about the products I purchase as a consumer.

Along with the products I received from Happy Skincare, I also received another product from Geraldine Pierre Skin Care (ordinarily, my reviews are for one brand only – and well that will remain the same with these reviews as well, however in this instance I couldn’t resist using the products together as the ideals behind both brands appeared to have been in sync with each other, and as I discovered whilst trying them, they actually complimented each other beautifully in the whole regime – you can see my review here for Geraldine Pierre Skin Care – I would apply this in between the stages of the cleanser and the moisturiser).

Without further ado, onto my review for Happy Skincare! I’d been under a fair bit of stress lately and as I suffer from ME/CFS and another autoimmune disorder, winter had been rather unkind to me this year! My skin had reacted accordingly. It was a horrid red and blotchy texture, extra oil in the t-zone area, and of course, large pores and breakouts happening to boot! Impressive huh?! (said with tongue firmly in cheek!) Through a disruptive sleep pattern, I also had lines and circles appearing under my eyes too.

3 Cheers Cleansing Oil: This cleansing oil has magical powers that allow it to cleanse deeply using the oil cleansing method, but rinse off easily. When mixed with water it turns milky and washes away effortlessly, taking all of the makeup, excess oil, and daily grime with it without stripping your skin of moisture. (100% Natural, 77% Organic, Vegan)

Honestly, when I received this, I was a little bit worried. I have oily skin so the idea of cleansing my skin with an oil was… well, the thought was scary – wouldn’t I be adding more oil to my skin? Turning it into a grease fest? Nevertheless, I decided to give it a go and to say I was surprised with the results would be an understatement! Who’d have thought that applying oil to your face would actually help to absorb/remove oil FROM your face?! This first step actually became my fave in the process, I’d apply the oil to dry hands, lather and then ‘inhale’ the scent before applying to my skin – it’s an invigorating experience, and how I start my mornings now (even before I’ve had a cup of coffee – it’s THAT good!)

Perfectly Happy Light Anti-Oxidant Cream: Whether your skin is dry, oily, or in-between this feather-light moisturiser penetrates deeply into your skin to hydrate, protect and repair. It sits wonderfully under makeup and is packed with powerful 100% natural ingredients like Kakadu Plum and MSM for a bright complexion. (100% Natural, 78% Organic, Vegan)

This is another beautifully scented product and remarkably light when applied to your skin. The two products used together made looking after my skin a very enjoyable experience, and adding the pampering oil by GPS seemed to add to the experience – I no longer felt like it was a ‘chore’ looking after my skin, I actually enjoyed the process and it was the perfect way to start and end my day.

The texture in my skin has improved, the redness has been greatly reduced, the t-zone is looking (and feeling) a lot better than it ever has before. Overall, I must say I’m impressed – the products outperformed my expectations and pamper session isn’t a ‘pamper session’ without these included in it!

If you’re not sure what products to get, why not take advantage of their affordable sample packs starting from $19.80 (you can add a two week supply of the cleanser or moisturiser for $4.95 each – this also gives you the opportunity to try out more products from their vegan friendly range!)
