Subscription Boxes have become quite the rage here in Australia, they encompass a wide variety of categories such as Womens, Mens, Babies, Kids, Beauty & Fashion, Food & Drinks, Music, Fitness, Pets, Eco, Crafts, Artisan and so much more.
We recently came across Little Box O’ Vintage, which is in the realm of Beauty & Fashion, and is based around the vintage, retro, pinup/rockabilly era’s. Every month is a new theme, August was “Cherry” – I received the “Cherry Deluxe Little Box”.
I was pleasantly surprised with this box, there was not one item in the box that I couldn’t see myself using. I was so excited, I had started putting on everything as I started to unwrap them.
Above picture I’m wearing MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo (retail value of $27.00), Diva Sunglasses (retail value of $30.00) – already passed the $50.00 value of the Deluxe box – and a gorgeous black headband with cherry print on it.
This box was just adorable. Very vintage, very glam! It brought the “poser” out in me as I was trying everything on for the blog hehe… and I felt pretty darn special trying all these pieces on too!
I LOVE this gorgeous Cherry Necklace & Earring set – retail value of $19.95 – very sweet and dainty, yet playful at the same time!
Then there’s this – a gorgeous cherry blossom compact mirror (retail value of $3.95) and this stunning Pearl & Cherry Necklace (seriously – this is GORGEOUS) with a retail value of $18.95 (and note to self, don’t pose near the computer lol – reflection does not make a pretty picture!)
This box also comes with some crafty items – there were embellishments that could be used for cardmaking or scrapbooking, gorgeous little “Hello Kitty” money bags, very cute Cherry Buttons to adorn your fave sweater or cardi with, a totally cool sunglasses case for those sexy Diva Sunglasses, a cute Sailor Cherry hairclip for your hair and so much more.
The value of what was in the box far surpassed the price you pay for it, and curated carefully by Little Box O’ Vintage owner, Beck Lloyd-Jones, who works closely with various Australian businesses in the beauty & fashion industry.
Personally, I’m thrilled with what I received and would highly recommend Little Box O’ Vintage to anyone looking for a quaint subscription box to sign up too. It’s sure to be a winner for those who love their vintage, retro, pinup or rockabilly styles. This is also a great way to be introduced to some of Australia’s up and coming talent in the industry as well!
The normal subscription box sells for $28/month (with the occasional “Deluxe” box available for $50 – which is featured in this review). I’m really looking forward to receiving the September box, this month’s theme is “Tropical Temptress” and selling for $28.00 – I can’t wait to unwrap the goodies in this box and have another play with them.
With these boxes, you can purchase the box each month (which allows you to purchase the “Deluxe” box if it’s released that month) – if you don’t have the money, you can skip that month; or purchase a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription.
I’m already impressed with the value of these boxes so will continue on with this box!
