Brisbane Ramen Bar in the City Centre
Men Ya Go is an all-girl manned ramen place in the heart of the city, found inside an arcade that skirts the rear of the Royal Albert Hotel. Entrances to the arcade can be found on Elizabeth Street (next to Wara Wara) and on Albert Street (next to The Coffee Club).
It is clean and sparse, with a simple menu (9 choices of ramen dish and 2 of donburi). Shio (salty), Shoyu (soy sauce), Miso and Tonkotsu (pork) broths/soups are on offer.
We had the Chicken Shio and the Spicy Minced Chicken. Each were $12.60 a bowl.

The thin ramen noodle was cooked nicely, and in generous amount. Kaedama (noodle refill) is available, but there was ample enough ramen that a refill wasn’t necessary.
The chicken was tender and nicely sized pieces for easy eating.
I wasn’t overwhelmed with flavour from the Chicken Shio. Considering the ingredients, that is a good thing, otherwise it risks becoming overly salty. It’s a perfect dish for a cold evening meal.
Men Ya Go is a pleasant, no-fuss ramen bar tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the inner-city, and worth checking in with when you’re looking for a warm bowl of noodle next time you’re in town.
