Protein Bliss Balls

I’ve started getting into making my own recipes using protein powders – a way of doing more than just consuming them as smoothies or shakes (although I do love those as well!)

Following is a super easy 3 ingredient Protein Bliss Ball recipe I came up with – they’re incredibly easy to make, and are a great post workout treat (or guilt free snack in between meals).

Recipe:

* 2 cups of pitted dates (chopped roughly)
* 2 cups of shredded coconut
* 1/4 cup of The Healthy Mummy Smoothie Powder – Vanilla
* 1 cup of shredded coconut to coat (optional – whilst I don’t do this myself, I know others like the extra coconut on the outside of the bliss balls)

Method:

I have a small hand held food processor so had to break the recipe down into small batches – if you have a decent sized food processor, then simply add the 2 cups of chopped dates, the 2 cups of coconut and the smoothie powder and blitz until it gets to a consistency where you can start to roll the mixture into balls.

Roll the mixture into balls. If you’d like your bliss balls covered in coconut, roll them through the optional cup of coconut until coated all over.

These balls are so easy to make, you can add them to your meal prep day, ready to be consumed through the week. Store in an airtight container and keep in the fridge.
