Introducing The All NEW Super Green Smoothies Range by Sally Obermeder

Whilst on my usual grocery shop at Woolies, I was on the hunt for coconut ice cream when I came across the Super Green Smoothies range in their freezer section. At only $2 each on sale I grabbed a few to try out and I’m so glad I opted for them instead.

I usually make my own breakfast smoothies at home, chopping up fruit & veg to go in them but loved that these are pretty much ready to go (great for mums on the run and don’t have the time to prepare their own smoothies). These smoothies can be enjoyed at any time of the day so also make a great afternoon energy pick-me-up!

Energy – Rocket Fuel

The first Super Green Smoothie I tried was the “Energy” Smoothie which is a blend of strawberry, spinach, cauliflower and banana – you just add 300ml of coconut water (you can also use almond milk, soy milk or whatever you prefer – you can also just use water if you like).

They’re really easy to prepare: remove the tub from the cardboard sleeve, squeeze and then remove the film. Pour the ingredients into your blender or bullet, use the tub to measure out 300ml of your desired liquid and add to blender. Blend on HIGH for 1 minute until smooth, pour into a glass and enjoy (each tub is 1 serve).

Well Being – Get Minted

Day 2 I tried the Well Being Super Green Smoothie which is a blend of pineapple, apple, broccoli, spinach, lemon and mint. Each tub suggests various ideas of what you can add to the smoothies for an extra boost (eg: energy boost, detox boost, assist with controlling cravings etc).

I added a scoop of Fem21 to my smoothies (Fem21 helps with hormonal balancing, liver & digestive cleansing and alkalising for women – I have gut health issues so I’m using the product to assist with that). I also added a spoon or two of Greek Yoghurt to my smoothies daily.

SuperGreenSmoothies
Slim – Bikini Babe

Day 3 I tried the Slim Super Green Smoothie which is a blend of broccoli, pineapple, mango, kiwifruit, spinach and mint. I think this was my fave Super Green Smoothie – that may be due to my love of mangoes, but it blended well together, as did the others I tried.

SuperGreenSmoothies
Detox – Un-beet-able

Day 4 saw me enjoying the view of the outdoors from the safety of being indoors all day (thanks to the effects of Cyclone Debbie – Brisbane was in a downpour for much of the day with flash flooding happening all over South East Queensland) – this Super Green Smoothie is a blend of pineapple, broccoli, beetroot, kale, celery, lemon and ginger – another great tasting smoothie!

I’m really loving the Super Green Smoothies range, how easy it is to whip up a great tasting smoothie with your desired liquid minus the time and mess from creating a smoothie from scratch. It’s great for those who are strapped for time (or busy chasing kids around trying to get them ready for the school run).

It’s a great and healthy way to start your day or to whip up on lunch break or after work. Its versatile and you’re free to add extras to it to increase its boost (if you’re lost for what to add to the blends, there’s suggestions listed with each smoothie tub).

The inner hippy in me loves too that you can recycle the tubs (as well as the rest of the packaging) – I’ll be using the tubs as seedling pots for Miss 5, 7 & 11 to start growing their own fruit, veg and herbs in!

The Super Green Smoothie range has six calorie counted recipes inspired by the book, all tailored to your individual needs. Super Green Smoothies contain all snap-frozen, pre-cut, measured and washed vegetables, fruit and herbs and giving you approximately 500ml boost of vitamins and minerals per day.

The Super Green Smoothies book (co-authored with her sister Maha Koraiem) and this Smoothie range were created after Sally Obermeder’s own recovery from stage three cancer and her personal journey back to health.

The Super Green Smoothie range is available at all major supermarkets. For more information about the products, be sure to check out their facebook page and for more great tips on health and wellness, check out their blog as well.

      Hey Mario!

It sadly looks like Coles and Woolworths are no longer stocking this item.
If you’d like, you can reach out to both companies and to the supplier, Vesco Foods Australia at http://vescofoods.com.au/contact/

I totally loved that one too! It was my fave out of all of the selection! Which IGA is that? I’m wondering if my local IGA supplies them too (I didn’t know they were pulled from Coles/Woolies… I LOVED them!)
